El Ministerio de Educación activó el Plan de Continuidad Educativa en modalidad no presencial en cinco distritos del país este lunes 13 de octubre, como medida preventiva ante el incremento de protestas por el paro nacional convocado por la CONAIE.
La decisión busca resguardar la seguridad de estudiantes, docentes y personal administrativo, en zonas donde se han registrado bloqueos viales, enfrentamientos y dificultades de movilidad.
Los distritos afectados son:
- Ibarra (instituciones focalizadas)
- Otavalo – Antonio Ante (instituciones focalizadas)
- Cotacachi (instituciones focalizadas)
- Cayambe – Pedro Moncayo (instituciones focalizadas)
- Latacunga (dos unidades educativas)
En estos sectores, las clases se desarrollan de forma virtual hasta nuevo aviso. El Ministerio indicó que se mantiene un monitoreo permanente para evaluar cambios en la modalidad según las condiciones de seguridad.
En contraste, Quito mantiene las clases presenciales con normalidad en todos los planteles de la Zona 9, que abarca la provincia de Pichincha. No obstante, las autoridades no descartan ajustes si la situación se complica.
Las universidades también han tomado medidas propias. La Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE) anunció clases virtuales sincrónicas en sus campus de Quito y Nayón. La Escuela Politécnica Nacional y la Universidad Central también optaron por la virtualidad, priorizando la seguridad de sus estudiantes.
El paro nacional, que ya cumple 22 días, continúa generando impactos en el sistema educativo, especialmente en la Sierra norte, donde se concentran las movilizaciones.
